Where did you go?
I really need you to find your way back to me, because frankly I'm not feeling so great without you.
My mind is in the mentality of "I don't want to waste my time". Even though deep down, I know it is far from time wasted.
I just want to go home and curl up with a good book.
Tips on finding my motivation (no redundancy)?

Exercising...Where did you go?
Since January, I've been doing so well with working out 3 times a week. But the past few weeks, I've only been going to the gym about once. It's awful and wow! What a change I've noticed in my body!
I need to stop making excuses.
Like today I was so excited to go to the gym after work, but then my day sort of took a downward spiral and now I'm just looking forward to going home and snuggling with my Man and having dinner. Maybe we'll take a nice long walk?
I really miss the gym though. I miss what it was doing for my body and how loose I felt along with just being in better shape in general. I miss just...feeling healthier.
Gym! I need to see you! :( I wish my hair wasn't so long and didn't take forever to do after I showered because then I would be going a lot more, no problem!

Inspirational Wednesdays: Shake What Your Momma Gave Ya!
A Fat Day.
I'm sure you've had them. Especially if you're a girl.
Maybe you work out 3-5 times a week and eat healthy all the time but the one day you eat 4 slices of pizza you feel as if you're pregnant.
It's natural to feel this way sometimes no matter what your diet or physical routine is.
I've been going to the gym since January now which is the longest I've ever gone with exercise in my life.
I've never felt better about myself when it comes to my body and my overall health.
It feels great.
And I still eat whatever I want.
However, I'd be lying to myself if I said that I always felt great.
I don't.
But listen to this story and it may or may not help you feel better:
So on Saturday night, me and my boyfriend, John stayed up late having a few drinks while talking about many different topics. One of them being girls and their self esteem issues and how girls never seem to be happy with what they are given regarding their bodies. Maybe they think their stomach bloats out too much or their boobs aren't big enough. And John had this to say,
Girls seem to think that they have to have a tight stomach or bigger boobs. But a confident size 12 is so much sexier than an insecure size 3.So basically the message I'm trying to get across is eat those 4 slices of pizza if you want! You're still going to look great. As long as you keep a healthy and active lifestyle that helps you feel better about yourself inside and out, life is so much more worth it when you treat yourself every once in a while. I would be SO bored if I didn't let myself eat some chips while watching a movie or order a salad with no dressing when I go out to eat just so my stomach stays flat. That is just no way to live!
I'd rather live my day to day by having fun and being happy while keeping up with exercise and a higher ratio of a healthier diet compared to "junk food". But I'll definitely still eat my pizza, chomp on a burger, have some chips, candy and ice cream if that means I'm happier.
And remember ladies, confidence is sexy! If you love yourself, that will reflect onto other people which in the long run will help keep you happy and glowing. And remember that quote up there because guys think it too!
Never try and change yourself for somebody else because you're beautiful in your own skin. I know insecurities are inevitable but try and embrace what your Momma gave ya because that's what you're stuck with!
Live your life. Be happy.
Love xoxo.

Inspirational Wednesday's
Last night I went to a spin class for the 2nd time and you know what? I actually REALLY enjoyed it.
I'm not gonna lie, the first 10-20 minutes I was dying but after that, I started getting really into it. It was a lot of fun! I'll definitely go again.
My only concern is that my legs aren't sore today. I feel like they should be sore?!?!
Anyway, I was telling my boyfriend last night about how I felt really good at that moment. (It was probably 11 o clock at night). My body just felt really healthy and...well, I just can't explain the feeling. It just felt good.
Keep in mind, John goes to the gym 3 times a week. He's in really good shape.
Anyway, do you know what he said in response to my comment?
He said, "That's how I feel everyday."
And just hearing that really inspired me to keep my motivation up; to keep going to the gym, staying active and healthy!
Oh... Did you know I've been going to the gym now since January? I think taken 2 weeks off total from going. No wonder why I feel so great. I also lost 8 pounds since then. Personally, I don't really notice any weight loss, but I definitely notice definition.
Wow! I've impressed myself!

No Work Outs This Week
I didn't exercise once this week.
Not once!
I wasn't in the mood.
I think it's because I skipped out on Zumba on Monday and then had zero motivation for the rest of the week.
Going to Zumba really allows me to get pumped up about the gym that week. So I must go to Zumba unless other arrangements get in the way (like what happened on Monday).
Deal?
Deal.
P.S. Remember my BOSU Ball class that almost made me vomit? I want to do that again! Never in my life have I ever felt more fulfilled by a workout! So much fun!

The Class That Kicked My You Know What.
I've never in my entire life done so much activity that I almost threw up.
That my stomach literaly could not handle the intensity.
Well last night, that changed.
Have you ever done a bosu ball class or workout in some way?
Well let me tell you a little story:
Last week, my friend and I were waiting for our Zumba class to begin and we saw another class previous to ours doing an ab workout on a Bosu Ball. Us being the smart people we are, assumed it was a simple ab strengthening class and decided to join next week BEFORE zumba.
So, last night we attended this Bosu Ball class excited to work out our abs. Little did we know, the entire class was the cardio nightmare from hell!
Cardio mixed in with intense toning and strengthening of every single muscle in your entire body.
Let's just say it kicked my ass. It kicked my ass hard. Really hard.
I almost threw up. I'm not joking. I had to take a deep breath in order to avoid an insta-puke.
It was the most intense work out I have ever had.
And you know what? I might just do it again.

Yes, I'm still alive!
Just ridiculously busy.
So recently, I joined a gym. A very expensive gym. Kind of by accident. (yeah right).
So I've been doing that (this includes Zumba!)
Also, I've been putting in a lot of extra hours at work. You see, I'm directing this really big video project so I've been working days AND nights.
I really haven't had a lot of time for a life of any kind. At least my health is decent.
If you don't include all the junk food I've been eating. Ugh. At least it's balanced with this new found physical activity.
Peace out! ;)

Zumba!
![]() |
I've discovered such a fun way to get in shape!
Zumba!
Have you heard of it?
It's fantastic. It is so much fun and doesn't even feel like working out.
It even made me realize that I have hips and I can really shake em!
Is this a start to a whole new sexy Jessica?
Wow-Another great way to embrace my curves!
I even invested in a membership!!! The gym is beautiful!
Wow-I feel healthier already!

Two Hours of Cardio
So the other night, I busted my bones with 2 hours of high intensity cardio.
I'm sure you have all heard of "Dancing with the Stars"?
Well, I bought one of their workout DVD's the other day and shredded it up. I'm sure if anybody walked in on me exercising to this DVD, they'd probably disown me out of their life because I'm sure I did not look sexy...which is what you are supposed to look like. But of course me being completely uncordinated, I failed at this.
Immediately after, me and my sister, Jill, played about an hour of Just Dance 2 on all the "3 and 3" difficulty settings. It was ridiculous.
Suprisingly, I was NOT sore the next day.
Oh-Please make sure I work out at least 4 times a week. I'd really like to focus on my health this year and this requires regular exercise and healthy eating habits (which I already do pretty well at).
KThx.

Work Those Curves, Guuuuurl!
You know,
I used to feel pretty insecure,
About my body, everything.
I would reference to old, sad posts...but I deleted them in the high hopes to start off fresh! To start my life on a happier note!
At one point, I used to think that you HAD to be a size 5 and under to look good. And while, girls who ARE sizes 5 and under are more than beautiful, I didn't realize that if you were over that size and had big hips and a ghetto boot-ay, large thighs, etc. you could also look, well, great.
It took so much for me to realize this. I think the main way was through finding genuine happiness.
...If you aren't happy with life, chances are you aren't going to be happy with your body.
Some things that have helped me overcome my body issues? I have an amazing boyfriend who makes me feel so beautiful everyday. He's constantly complimenting my curves. And you know what? That makes me feel really good.
But of course, you don't need a boyfriend to make you feel good.
Have you ever seen the show:
"Keeping Up with the Kardashian's?"
Kim Kardashian-
Gurl has a body.
Desperate Housewives?
Eva Longoria-
Your hips are inspirational!
These two ladies have really helped me look at the "Hollywood/Model" image in a whole other way. I look at these two gorgeous women and see how my body is very similar to theirs.
And of course, the acceptance of myself. I think that is what has helped me the most.
Never again will I think that curveless is the only way to be beautiful.
I really love my curvacious figure. I do. And like I said, it's taken me a long time to realize this.
So thanks to everybody and everything that has allowed me to finally accept myself. I really do appreciate you.

Placente
Is it gross that I ate taco time two days in a row?
Nope.
New Years Resolution: Zumba, Gym Membership, Healthy Eating Habits.
Cliche?
I think not.

I'm on a Health High! For real!
What a difference between wanting to exercise and forcing exercise.
The past week and a bit I have exercised everyday and without force. I have actually (for the first time ever) craved the treadmill. And what a change!
I feel so much better about myself-about my body and about my life.
I hope to continue releasing these very powerful endorphins that make me feel so good!
I'm on an health kick-a feel good high!
Let's hope that motivation keeps up while the high lasts so I don't get bored and quit.
