Camp Weekend!

So as you know, this past weekend was CANADA DAY WEEKEND!
And I had such a great time.
I spent the entire weekend out at camp with friends and it was awesome!
I got a really bad burn though which made me want to stay away from the sun for a while but I think it's finally going away.
Here are some pics from the weekend!

To All My Friends

I wish for one day that everybody could all just get along.
And I wish that for once people stopped judging others and jumping to conclusions.
Don't you think life and friendships would be a lot smoother if we learned to accept and be grateful for what we have? To cherish the time we have together and not to focus on the time that we don't?

People grow up. People change.

It's time to let go of the negative and welcome the positive.

Positive people. Positive activities. A positive lifestyle.

I think people need to seriously consider their lives and stop and think for a moment about who their real friends are.

Who are the people who are going to stick by you through good moments and bad? Who are the people who accept you for who you are? Who are the people you can trust with your secrets-big and small? And who are the people who actually want to spend time with you?

For me, that list seems to be shrinking. But at least I'm true to my heart and know who to spend my valuable time with.

Let's just say this. I'm not going to waste my efforts anymore on people who could care less to spend time with me as a person...but more time judging other aspects of my life.

So here, here to my real friends. You all know who you are.

Erica's Bridal Shower

This past Saturday it was my friend, Erica's Bridal Shower!

It was a few hours full of games, food, friends and fun!

At the beginning of the Shower, each of the guests had to take a clothes pin and put them on their collar. Throughout, we weren't allowed to say the words, "Erica" "Kurtis" "Bride" "Groom" or "Wedding" and if we did and someone heard us, they could take our clothes pin. At the end, whoever had the most clothes pins won. Let's just say I was a loser. I had no clothes pins at the end.

Another fun game we played was the Toilet Paper Wedding Dress game. We had to go into groups and in each group we had to pick a bride. We were given 5 rolls of toilet paper and we had to create a wedding dress. The best dress won. I was a bride and I did not win.

The food wasn't the greatest. It was a lot of seafood. But if the Bride was happy, I was happy! :)

It was a very nice day and I wish all the best to Erica and Kurtis. Erica you are going to make a beautiful, beautiful bride! I can't wait for your wedding! :)

Inspirational Wednesdays: Forgiveness

I think it's one of the most honest statements when it is said that "Friends really do drift apart".

But does that mean that you can't be civil with them when you speak to eachother?

Or does that mean that you don't consider them someone to be dear to your heart anymore?

Recently, I had a friend who wasn't very happy with me and I think it was mostly based on the fact that we no longer spent much time together. But I still really liked her. I didn't have any negative feelings towards her.

And then one day, she just snapped on me and said some hurtful things.

But did I deserve it?

I'm not quite sure what the answer to that is but obviously I had hurt her and that alone is enough for me to make me feel bad.

We hadn't spoken in months and regarding a few different incidents' that have happened lately, I really wanted to talk to her and apologize to her.

I just don't think it's worth it to have bad air between someone who really means something to you.

So I sent her a text (yeah,  yeah, I know, think what you will) and apologized. I never meant to hurt her! I didn't want that!

She forgave me, you know.

She explained why she said the things she said and how she was sorry and that we are fine and we are good and we are happy.

And I couldn't be more thankful because she really is someone I keep close to my heart. She really is one of the better apples who always mean well.

I'll always consider her my friend and maybe one day she'll read this and know that I really am telling the truth and that I really will always consider her one of my "BFFs".

Friends or Whatever.

How do you know the difference between a real friend and a fake friend?

A real friend. One that is always there to listen when you need it. One that isn't afraid to give you honest advice. One that will make you laugh when you are sad or help when you are sick.

A fake friend. Someone who talks behind your back but is only nice to your face. Someone who doesn't listen when you speak but might offer you advice anyway.

I'll once again reinforce the fact that you need to keep those who matter to you close to your heart and those who you don't trust or are only there when it's convenient for you, keep a bit of a distance.

It'll be beneficial to your own happiness. I promise.

It's the long weekend!

And this weekend is going to be spectacular!

Here's the agenda:

Tonight: It's my little cousin's birthday party! After that me and the Baby are going to watch the Canucks play. Now let me tell you, I never used to hold an interest in Hockey AT ALL but now I'm sort of starting to like it! My heart races in the last 10 minutes of the game if the score is close and what not. Is it possible, that I, Jessica Kutok am a hockey fan? You better believe it! So weird. My very life is changing before my eyes.

Friday: Hangin out all day... with no sense of a plan! Friday night going to see Water for Elephants with Tamara for her birthday ...Vanessa and Paula are coming along too! I love those girls!!!

Saturday: We're going to Montana's for Tam's Bday!! Im so excited. Going out for dinner is awesome. Unfortunately,  I work 12-7:30 though for street team. I feel bad because I couldn't say no and it's Tam's birthday. TAMARA DON'T BE MAD!!! Thank you for changing your reservation! It means a lot :)! So excited to spend Saturday night with you! The big 22!!!! You should feel very happy!

Sunday: Easter festivities!! Going for a brunch with my Mom and Sister for yummy chocolate fountains of fruit! And then going to John's families for some yummy delicious Easter Dinner!

Monday: Work. :( And then having turkey dinner with my family!

It's going to be a great weekend!

Girls Night Out

So this weekend my friends and I decided to actually go out for once. I think the last time I went out dancing with my friends it was probably the beginning of December. I just don't like it all that much anymore. But anyway, here are some pictures from the night. Don't be fooled by the J.Beebz 3D glasses and flounder hat... I managed to stay sober that evening and had only a couple of drinks :) I'm just a silly girl, that's all!

Wonderful Weekend

Full of family and friends!

I finally had a Sunday Dinner at home. It's been so long since my family and I enjoyed eachother's company.

I really need to start taking more pictures.

I couldn't have done it without you.

Let's just say from February to September... I didn't know who I was.

I lost myself. I never thought I'd find myself again. It was terrible.

I would never wish those dark feelings upon anybody because at the time, it felt like I'd never feel happiness again. I never thought I'd get any better.

But you know what? I did. And I couldn't have made it to where I am now without my friends, my new found love, a supportive family, and of course delicious food! :)

Love Life.

I've noticed that a big theme in my posts are how to stay happy from once being so sad and factors that brighten my day in general.

Life is pretty smooth sailing right now. I really don't have anything to complain about, only things to rave about!

So here's to happiness, good friends, boyfriends, hilarious family, delicious food and seasons greetings!

I Just Want To Say...

Thanks for those in my life who make being myself easy.

...To those who are accepting and understanding.
...To those who are easy and don't give me any reasoning to be intentionally upset.

Because I Need To Start Posting More Pictures...

I noticed that my favorite bloggers will post many pictures so I'm going to start doing that to make my blog easier on the eyes...

Big Cities...I went to Chicago and it was one of the best experiences of my life!

My family. :) This is a really old pic of my sisters' but it's the only one I had of them two together (hence I need to start taking more pics)

Musicals! I went to see Wicked in Chicago. It was great! 

All 4 of my crazy dogs. The one you see in the pic below is Cujo. I also have Walter, Isabella and Nova. If we are going to start naming all animals, I also have a lizard which I've taken a new liking to. (It's only taken me 4 years)

Kingdom Hearts! I'm stuck on the new game though. Someone please help me!

Harry Potter! Is it sad that I'm going to cry myself to sleep the night of the final movie?

Fable. I like this pic of it because it reminds me why I like the game (I love the scenery!)

So these are only a few of my favorite things but the computer I am on is really "laggy" so it's hard to find decent pics. I promise I'll start taking more pictures though of myself and the funny shenanagins I get up to to make this blog more enjoyable for all of you out there.

New Friends

You know what I love?
I love making new friends.
I know that is cheesy, but I do.
I love that feeling of acceptance and when someone you just met thinks you are entertaining.
Pretty soon you are hanging out with their friends and a brand new group of people and then you have new acquaintances that eventually turn into Facebook friend requests and before you know it, new friendships are formed.
It's just a nice feeling, to make new friends.

You make me smile. :)

When I had a boyfriend, I saw my boyfriend. I rarely was in sight of friends.
Now that I'm by myself, the loneliness gets to me, and I strive on my friendships.
So I'm saying thanks to all my friends who put up with my crazy self.
